WSPL’s dedicated teens braved a spring ice storm to come out and learn about personal finance from a registered financial advisor. A letter for parents with a quiz about personal finance knowledge went out in advance of the program, to get the conversation started and raise questions. Each teen took on a character with a full slate of expenses, income, and information to work on preparing a budget. They also went home with a great free workbook, Money and Youth: A Guide to Financial Literacy, to keep the learning going – you can check it out from the library, find it online as a Kobo e-book, or at this link.
