Build 21st century skills at your library with a STEAM Certificate!

Kids and teens can earn one button for each Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and/or Math program they attend.  Once all five buttons are collected, kids and teens receive a STEAM certificate and a prize!

What is STEAM?

SCIENCE: The study of the world around us. Young scientists will learn about their subject by observing, describing, and experimenting. Program examples: Science Club

TECHNOLOGY: A manner of accomplishing a task using technical processes, methods, or knowledge. Program examples: Makey Makey and Lego WeDo

ENGINEERING: The branch of science and technology concerned with design, building, and structures. Program examples: Lego Time and Hotwheels Fun

ARTS: The expression or application of human creative skill and imagination. Program examples: Baby Craft and Crafty Ones

MATH: The study of numbers, structure, arrangement, and change. Program examples: Math SK and Chess Club
