Looking Back and Looking Forward
July 7, 2017
Hi teens of WSPL!
It’s been an absolute pleasure and a privilege to serve the WSPL community, and especially teens, since I started in 2010 and took over teen services in 2013. I’m sad to say I’m moving on to another city – my last day at work here will be August 4.
You’ve all been so creative and generous – you teen participants and volunteers have been the keystone of some of the most exciting programs and services we’ve had at the library since I started. I’ll miss you all, and the time we spent working on programs, talking about books and games, and having fun (Harry Potter Day, Make Your Own Sundaes)…
For the next few months, we’ve got a really great replacement for me – her name is Catherine, so say hi the next time you see her in the library or at Teen Advisory Group, and give her the benefit of all the great ideas you gave me. Then I’ll be waiting with excitement to see where things go when WSPL moves into its new expanded space, including the new teen area.
And don’t forget to keep up with everything that’s happening at wsplibrary.ca/teens/programs
Thanks for your friendship and support – it’s been so much fun for me, and I hope for you, too!
